....Bak
Ambalaj established by Mr. Enver Bakioglu in a 2,000 m2 plant in Izmir.
The production consisted of flexo-printed paper bags used as outer pack
for pasta.
1976
....PE-Extrusion introduced and the product
range expanded with block bottom bags, printed PE bags and rolls.
1984
....Transition into the rotogravure printing
process.The production was shifted to high-quality flexible packaging
materials used mainly in the food industry for automated packing.mm.
1988
....The construction of a new 22,000 m2 plant was commenced in
the Ataturk Industrial Complex near Izmir, one of the largest
and most modern industrial parks in Turkey.
1990
....The company moved in its new modern
facilities to continue its operations by the scope of growing.
1995
....Extensive investment programme to renew
and enlarge the machine park starting with the installation of a new
PE-blow extruder and two wide-web 7-colour rotogravure machines.
1996
....ISO 9002 Quality Assurance Certificate obtained from the
Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI).
1997
....Hygiene Certification granted from
AIB (American Institute of Baking). Installation of a new 8 colour flexo
press, a solventless lamination and four slitt-rewinders.
1998
....25% of the shares of the company have
been quoted on the Istanbul Stock Exchange Market. The investment
programme has been completed by installing a new 9 colour wide web rotogravure
machine of latest technology. Investments for bread packaging production
started.
1999
....Entering into the bread packaging market
from a separate production plant with an enlarged product range consisting
of perforated and plain wicketed bags and centre-folded rolls.
2000
....Bak Ambalaj became a well-known global
player as its export sales reached 13.6 million US dollars - 45% of
its total turnover.
2003
Bak Ambalaj has introduced a new 10 color Rotomec 4002 electronic line
shaft printing press with 400 meters/minute production speed and pattern
cold seal capabilities. The line is also equipped with automatic
viscozity control with ink cooling feature, automatic web – print – cold
seal pattern quality inspection, automtic LEL detecting and controlling,
automatic register control, automatic trolley change, automatic
presetting systems. Bak Ambalaj has been the first converter in Turkey
to introduce an electronic line shaft press at 400 m/min speeds. Bak
Ambalaj has also introduced a 450 m/min solvent and water based adhesive
lamination machinery with off line pattern cold seal application
capability and two slitters.
2004
Bak Ambalaj has invested in a new 450m/min Solventless lamination line,
A new Titan SR8 with 700 m/min slitter with automatic 90 second knife
positioning, machine presetting features, A Stand Up Pouch, A Body
Sleeve and PE strech Sleeve Machinery. Bak Ambalaj has entered in the
production of PVC or PET shrinkable Body Sleeve Labels and PE Strech
Sleeve labels and Stand up pouches with the latest investments realized.
Stand Up Pouches may be produced with or without zippers, 2 or 3 side
seal, pillow or gusstet type. PET + PE, PAPE, PET + AL + PE structures
are the widely used ones for stand up pouches.
2005/2006
Bak Ambalaj is
projecting to introduce a new 600m/min printing press, Start
production with a 3rd plant out of Turkey
